Frequently asked questions
Do you do extended family sessions?
Yes, I do! However, the fall is a busy time without as much flexibility in scheduling. I have select dates available for the personalized full length session (1 hour) which is great for extended families. Due to the demand during the fall, I am happy to make it happen to do a quick and simple extended family session during a 30-minute time slot (there is a small fee "add-on" for extended families). If you would like to schedule for 45-minutes or an hour, please email me for more info and to see what will work! Extended family sessions that are 45 mins-1 hour start at $300.
Do i choose the images that come with the session fee?
Yes! You will have access to an online gallery where you can select the photos (up to the limit included with your package) that you would like to download. If you decide you would like to purchase the whole gallery, you may do that for $25-30 extra.
Can I reschedule if something unexpected comes up?
I understand that unexpected things come up. If it is more than a 2 weeks before your session, you can reschedule online. If it is less than 2 weeks away, and you have extenuating or unforeseen circumstances, just send me an email and we will figure it out! It may not be possible to keep the same location when rescheduling. If you need to reschedule within a week of the session, you will forfeit the deposit unless there are extenuating circumstances.
How long does it take to receive the final photos?
In the fall you can expect to get your photos within 2 weeks of your session, sometimes sooner! There is also the option to add-on expedited delivery ($35-40) when you book the session.
What happens if there is Rain in the forecast?
I always keep an eye on the weather for my sessions. If there is rain in the forecast I usually try to wait until the day before to start considering/discussing a back-up plan. We are always hoping to do the photos at the originally planned time, but will definitely reschedule if needed!
Can I cancel my session?
There is a $50 deposit required to book the session. If you choose to cancel the session you will forfeit that deposit.
Why are some locations listed as "lenexa location" or "olathe location"?
In the fall the scenery is constantly changing. A spot will be amazing until an unexpected windy or rainy day shows up! By choosing the final location the week of the session I am able to determine what will be best based on the current fall color, park maintenance, weather, or even a new hidden gem I have come across. You have the option to choose a Lenexa or Olathe location when booking online.
